Maria Martin is Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager for Vantage Bank Texas, serving businesses across the Rio Grande Valley. She brings over 20 years of banking experience, starting her career in 2001 in frontline roles and moving into commercial lending nearly a decade ago. Maria joined INB in 2011, which later became part of Vantage Bank, giving her more than a decade with the organization and a deep understanding of local businesses and the regional economy. Maria structures credit for a range of needs, including equipment purchases, commercial real estate, and working capital. She also helps clients manage both business and personal banking, connecting the right deposit, treasury, and digital tools to support day-to-day operations. Her clients span diverse industries, from produce and health care to logistics and consumer goods. Recent work includes a $6.4MM loan to fund phase two construction for an owner-occupied cold storage facility, establishing $5MM+ in CDARS accounts for a health care client, over $5M loan in equipment for a transportation client, and a $1.2M loan to purchase an industrial lot for a future owner-occupied warehouse in the produce sector. Maria’s approach is simple and consistent. She listens first, understands the full picture, and tailors financing to each client’s goals and cash flow. Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UTRGV and a certificate from the Commercial Lending School at the SW Graduate School of Banking at SMU Cox. She gives back as a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Pharr-San Juan, reflecting her commitment to the community she serves.
